Role:

Perform all change management and configuration activities on Core Transport Network (IP & Transmission), Service LAN, Datacenters and Office Network equipments in order to ensure a timely delivery of planned projects.

Maintain the high quality of network and services by thorough acceptance testing, careful preparation and proper execution.

Operate and Maintain the Transport Network in order to reach the established business goals.

Main responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:

• Execute all network configurations according to the WO (work orders) issued by the development teams to maintain optimal network and services parameters; apply configurations via element managers or, if not available, translate WOs into equipment specific command line and configure via CLI
• Ensure required parameters for NMS (network management systems) – account administration, back-up & restore, interfacing with monitoring systems
• Participate into projects and ensure all required configurations for implementing all projects according to plan
• Analyze and evaluate thoroughly the risks of all planned actions, elaborate the required documents (PWAD) and execute the work according to O&M policy (usually within the maintenance window)
• Ensure implementation of new software versions or software corrections
• Investigate and solve network faults on Vodafone Romania Core Transport network
• Escalate the technical problem to the vendor if the issue could not be solved
• Investigate and solve the Customers Complaints related to Core Transport Network
• Emergency recovery on the Vodafone Romania Core Transport Network
• Performs the preventive maintenance activities on the core transport network equipments and services
• Provides notifications in due time and sends correct information regarding technical incidents to all agreed groups
• Escalate and follow up all the pending issues
•Keep technical (operational) interface with equipment/solution vendors
• Participate to vendor performance evaluation (evaluate KPI and fill in the performance matrix)
• Provide feedback to manager about major problems in the relationship with the vendor and/or their installed equipment
• Participates at internal and external training sessions in order to permanently improve his/her technical skills and

Cerinte:

Applicants will ideally have had extensive recruitment experience prior to this role, either inside or outside IBM, or similar professional services organisation. Knowledge of Resource Management and Capacity Planning would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be expected to routinely represent GBS at Consultancy events with a recruitment focus, for example: attending liaison sessions at Universities / Business Schools or Consultancy forums. In this context, good presentation and networking skills are fundamental to the role.

The role will be challenging and very dynamic, candidates need to be flexible, comfortable with change and ‘customer-focused’.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive and compelling attraction proposition reflecting the GBS career model, performance and reward model, leadership, culture and development opportunities

• Design and lead programs to improve our image as employer of choice and preserve and develop IBM brand image with all candidates

• Develop appropriate marketing collateral to support recruitment activities (may include: update of internet material, provision of marketing collateral)

• Ensure that the candidate pipeline is progressed in a timely fashion, by working with country hiring managers and Resource Deployment Management

• Develop most appropriate sourcing strategies to actively source CVs through a variety of channels:
-Referral – drive referrals as lowest cost of hires
-Agency – develop external networks to increase pool of candidates in line with Preferred Supplier Lists. Reduce agency hiring to reduce spend by IBM and replace with lower cost channels.
-Website – ensure jobs posted at http://www.ibm.com/employment/ro and that job descriptions are suitable and selective
-Job Boards – develop specialist knowledge of the Internet as a recruitment tool and use it effectively as part of marketing strategy
-Advertising and Promotion plans through offline media
-Make use of retained search where appropriate

• Drive and attend recruitment events and act as representative of GBS recruitment in the relevant GMR

• Work with GBS to evaluate and propose graduate recruitment opportunities in hiring areas (including target universities and sourcing actions)

• Perform CV screen and interviews to qualify candidates and reduce load on GBS Consultants who are focussed on billable utilisation or sales

• Review of ad hoc CVs received as general applications and pass through to hiring managers (or any other manager if suitable for their business) as appropriate

• Support relevant testing tools (psychometric, technical, other) to support the interview assessment process and improve conversion ratios. Ensure Competency Based interviewing is widely used

• Assist in the delivery of assessment centres where necessary

• Drive selected GMR level programs such as graduate hiring, SAP focus, industry hiring as required

• Drive Diversity agenda of IBM through hiring actions

• Provide management data to GBS GDC HR Leader as well as detailed input to resource and capacity management on weekly/monthly/as required basis.
